Goliath is the powered armor the Martian Marine Corps issues to its Force Recon marines. A suit is vacuum-rated and stops most small arms. Its weapons are built in rather than carried: a multi-barrel minigun firing armor-piercing, high-explosive and 6.25mm incendiary-tipped caseless rounds, and rocket-propelled grenades mounted in the back that can be aimed remotely. Hand grenades clip to the outside of the shell for storage. Everything integral to the suit is DNA-encoded to the marine it is assigned to, so nobody else can fire it. The design has run through several marks; the later ones reshaped the chest piece and slimmed the shoulders, and their firmware will not run on the older suits.
