Navy vessels not built to fight.
Fleet support ships are the vessels a navy sends along that are not built to fight. They carry supplies for friendly ships, stations and military facilities, resupply warships on long voyages, and handle the storage and logistics that let a fleet stay out instead of turning for home. Both the United Nations Navy and the Martian Congressional Republic Navy run them, in dedicated classes and in conversions: strip the railgun emplacements and torpedo tubes out of a battleship and what is left is a tender.
