Earther

Earthers are the people of humanity's birthplace, one of the three broad branches of the species. Raised under full gravity, they read as short and solid next to Martians and especially next to the long-boned Belters, and that stockiness carries real strength: an average Earther can outmuscle most anyone raised in a lighter well. Their planet holds thirty billion people under the government of the United Nations, a crowded world where a large share of the population lives on basic support and steady work is something to be lucky about. To the Belt, Earthers and Martians together are Inners, the people of the gravity wells who set the terms the Belt lives under, and that resentment shadows every Earther who travels out.
