Dimitri Havelock is an Earther cop first met on Ceres Station as Miller's partner on a Star Helix Security contract, a squat man whose face gives away every feeling and who moves awkwardly in the low gravity.
Havelock insists he is a good cop, but Miller tells him that people here look at him and see only Earth. Havelock protests that he spent eight years on orbital stations and Mars before coming out, and only about six months working on Earth itself, and Miller answers that Earth and Mars are not so different. On bad nights he drinks in the portside bars, looking for a fight.
