A station at the Sun-Earth L2 Lagrange point, founded as a deep space observatory and now better known for the beer brewed on board.
Nothing at the Sun-Earth L2 Lagrange point ever sees the sun: the position keeps a station permanently inside Earth's shadow, out of its light and radiation. That made Darkside Point, founded as Observatory Laplace-Epsilon, a fine place to look outward, and it ran as an infrared observatory of other stars. Within a year it was better known for the beer one of its resident astronomers brewed on station.
