Breaching pods are craft built to put a boarding party onto a hostile ship or station in a hurry. The United Nations Navy pod is a box with four claws that dig into the target's hull, carried aboard Leonidas-class battleships and most likely stowed in their hangar bays. Improvised versions exist too: the Outer Planets Alliance has converted ordinary shipping containers into pods and sent them across.
