Asp-class fast attack craft

Small, quick and hard to lock onto, the Asp class fast attack craft is the smallest warship the Martian Congressional Republic Navy flies, and larger ships find it a difficult thing to deal with. It carries two autoloading torpedo bays, and the pilots who fly it get in close, put as many torpedoes into a target as they can and leave fast, which means restocking often and sometimes docking with another ship mid battle to reload. Side mounted point defense cannons cover the whole hull, and on a ship this small those guns work as well for attack as for defense. The shape is bulky through the middle and comes to a thin point at bow and stern around a single Epstein drive, with a sensor antenna extended from the flat bow. The MCRN gives them to some of its best pilots.
