A twenty-three-year-old New York graphic designer who finds a ten-foot robot on 23rd Street and becomes the public face of first contact.
April May is twenty-three, an art school graduate doing graphic design at a New York start-up and carrying the student debt that came with the degree. Walking home at three in the morning she finds a ten-foot metal figure standing on 23rd Street that was not there earlier, decides it is an art installation, and makes a video about it. It is not an art installation.
