Andy Skampt became part of a trio with April May and Maya through a class project good enough that Kennedy posted it on the class website. They have done freelance projects together, and now and then Andy comes over to make the others play board games, which turn into evenings of talk about politics, dreams and anxieties. The friendship has lasted past graduation.
He shares an apartment with Jason, and both of them want to be internet famous: they stream their video gaming to tiny audiences and film a show about the best death scenes in TV for YouTube. Andy answers April's call at three in the morning by saying that whatever it is can surely wait until tomorrow. In the clip they shoot, he takes a turn on the fake mic, more nervous than April, and admits that the robot kind of terrifies him.
