In The Breaker, the Spirit-Crushing Fist is a Ki technique timed to the instant of impact, strong enough to break bone and reinforced glass and punishing to any user whose timing slips.
The Spirit-Crushing Fist, Sweh-Hon-Gwon, is a striking technique of the Murim in The Breaker that pairs physical movement with Ki circulation to produce a single, exceptionally destructive blow. Where most fist techniques of its kind aim at internal damage and settle for that, this one carries force enough to break bone and shatter a reinforced glass door.
It draws on a large volume of reserved Ki, which is what makes it so destructive and also so demanding. The circulation has to be timed to the exact moment of impact; a fraction out and the strike fails while the released Ki burns the user's own fist. It is recognised by the sonic boom it makes, by the fully extended arm, and by the burst of Ki that opens directly in front of the fist. Few in the present day Murim know how to perform it.
