The Shinmujengpe in The Breaker is the Murim's martial arts championship, fought across nine seats of power, each seat standing for one technique and traditionally held by one school or clan.

Every seat of power in the Murim is decided at the Shinmujengpe, the martial arts championship of The Breaker, in which the martial world's rising fighters compete across nine separate arts. Each of the nine is a seat, each seat stands for a single technique, and by tradition each belongs to a particular school or clan.

A competitor does not have to come from the school a seat belongs to in order to take it, and one fighter can hold more than one at a time. Three carries the title of Three Arts Dragon. All nine at once carries the title of Nine Arts Dragon, and the masters of the Murim hold to an unwritten rule that no single person should ever gather them all, on the grounds that the martial world could not absorb it.
