Shin Hyun-Pung
In The Breaker, Shin Hyun-Pung is Chief of the Martial Arts Alliance, one of the Ten Grandmasters and head of the Clear Wind Origin School, a mild mannered elder with enormous political weight.
Shin Hyun-Pung holds the office of Chief of the Martial Arts Alliance in The Breaker, and with it the authority to speak for the whole of the Murim. He is one of the Ten Grandmasters and the head of the Clear Wind Origin School.
He is short beside the martial world's larger figures, with short straight white hair, and his dress sets him apart from the rest of the Alliance: a hanbok style shirt, matching trousers and shoes, and a patterned coat that hangs to his ankles. His political weight among the clan heads and school heads is enormous, enough that they come to him directly when the Murim is in difficulty, and enough to close a subject inside the Alliance when he wants it closed. In manner he carries himself as a mild and kindly old master.
