Four names in The Breaker stand for the fastest rise the Murim has seen in a generation, and the martial world calls them the Four Supernovas, or the Four Great New Stars. The talent and ability behind that rise is not in dispute, and most murim-in have heard of all four of them.
How anyone qualifies for the title is not explained, nor who confers it. What is visible is the pattern in the names themselves: the four cover the four cardinal directions, each paired with a single colour, and the colours that have appeared so far are drawn from the Korean flag. Whether that carries any meaning beyond the naming is left unstated.
