Captain Strovi is an officer of the Imperial Legion in Talagray and second to Commander-Prificto Vashta, which puts him where the Legion's business and the Iudex inquiry meet. He is competent in both: he carries what the Legion has gathered to Immunis Ana Dolabra's rooms, escorts her engraver out to where the work leads, and holds his own when a situation turns to fighting. He is easy company besides, quick with a drink and open in his admiration for the investigative work he watches up close in The Tainted Cup.
