The Shroud
The Shroud is an Apoth installation in the waters off Yarrowdale, named for the tall, tent-like veil around it, which rises hundreds of spans above the sea with a soft viridine glimmer.
The Shroud floats out in the Bay of Yarrow, a vast green fluttering form with what looks like a citadel deep within it. To Din it looks less like a structure than a huge parasite fastened to the horizon. A commander-prificto calls it a critical and delicate piece of imperial infrastructure and the only source of titan's blood at its purest.
Its work is to drain the carcasses of titans of their bloods and liquors without unleashing contagion on Yarrow. Ana finds the design both amazing and horrid. No one may serve inside it longer than three years.
