Prificto Kardas is the Treasury's ranking officer on the imperial delegation to Yarrow, running its daily business out of Old Town in Yarrowdale and answerable for what the Empire's bank holds there. He is conscientious and anxious in equal measure, given to biting his thumb, and he has little patience for a line of reasoning he cannot follow at the first pass. In A Drop of Corruption his office puts him inside Immunis Ana Dolabra's inquiry, where his first concern is always the Treasury's property.
