Dinios Kol

Dinios Kol, called Din, is a Signum of the Iudex Iyalet and an engraver, altered by the Empire to remember everything he experiences, always and forever. A scene enters him once and stays whole: he engraves a room, uncorks a vial of scent to fix the memory, and breathes that same vial again when he needs to walk back through the place in exact detail. The Apoths held his service after his alteration, and then he was assigned to Immunis Ana Dolabra, whose work runs on what he brings her. He is quiet, dutiful, and quicker to doubt himself than anyone around him is, and he keeps a private struggle carefully out of sight. He narrates both of Ana's cases, The Tainted Cup and A Drop of Corruption, from the position of the person in the room doing the looking.
