Across the Soul Land novels, wolf martial souls recur in every generation of soul masters, a common family of beast spirits with an uncomplicated job. The base form does exactly what the name promises: on activation it remakes the user's constitution along wolfish lines, hardening the body and extending claws and talons that turn bare hands into weapons, with raw strength boosted to match.
Like most widespread beast spirits it exists in many variants, lines such as the Inferno Grey Wolf, the Thunder Wolf, and the Stormwind Doubleheaded Wolf, each coloring the base transformation with its own element or trait. Unremarkable next to the setting's rare spirits, a wolf soul in trained hands still makes a fast, savage front-line fighter.
