Tai Tan

Tai Tan is patriarch of the Strength Clan in Soul Land, the first series, a house once counted among the four great subsidiary clans of the Clear Sky Clan. His great-grandfather founded that clan, and his great-grandmother came directly from the Clear Sky line. He is an old man with grizzled hair and beard, the hair on top of his head standing up like short steel needles, his eyes deep and his expression hard to read, forceful without any show of anger. Strength and inborn talent are what he measures people by, loyalty is what he prizes above all, and for all his standing he looks down on nobody, though he is impulsive and short of temper.
