Sunset Forest

The Sunset Forest lies close to Heaven Dou City in Soul Land, the first series, well hidden for all that proximity and home to many beasts, with a medicinal garden and the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well at its core. From a distance it resembles the Great Star Dou Forest, though a careful look separates the two: the Star Dou is tropical rainforest, while the trees and plants here run to northern temperate species and the temperature is much lower without being polar. Blue silver grass covers the ground in both. Unrestrained hunting by soul masters has thinned out the beasts that reach ten thousand years, leaving most of the population between one thousand and ten thousand and the forest short on major powers, while the sparser, fresher vegetation makes it easier to cross and safe enough for fires at night.
