Star Dou Forest

Hunting ground, proving ground, and deathtrap at once, the Star Dou Forest is one of the Douluo Continent's best-known spirit beast habitats in Soul Land, the first series. It sprawls across territory nearly the size of a kingdom in the continent's southeast, spanning the border between the two great empires, an immense primeval wood of tropical growth, wetlands, and swamp.

Spirit masters come because the forest holds beasts of every age and kind: with enough strength and a little luck, a suitable spirit ring can be found here. The bargain is the beasts themselves, notorious for viciousness and killing intent, and the rule every visitor learns quickly: the deeper one goes, the stronger they grow, and stories claim the oldest and most terrible of all keep to its core.
