Star Dou Battle Network

The Star Dou Battle Network is the federation's newest technology, a simulated battle environment entered through a peripheral called a Star Dou Cabin. It resembles the Spirit Pagoda's spirit ascension platform without any cap on how many people take part, and it carries no spirit ascension effect of its own. The simulation runs on artificial intelligence, humanity's first working use of it, which is why a crude and low end system outperforms the ascension platform, and why the beta voice inside it still sounds mechanical. Development cost an astronomical sum, and the tournament attached to it exists to hold public attention and loosen more funding out of the federal parliament. In the Star Dou Great Battle Soul Arena, the mecha and soul master zones are separate, a battle room costing two thousand federation coins in the first and one thousand in the second.
