Poseidon

In the lore of the Soul Land novels, beginning with the legends told in the first series, Poseidon is the Sea God, the deity of the oceans and of every kind of water. Sea spirit masters and sea spirit beasts keep his worship, above all on Sea God Island, where a temple, seven sacred pillars, and lines of devoted guardians are maintained in his name.

The stories describe him as a majestic middle-aged figure with long blue hair and beard, robed in white and gold beneath a golden crown, and they give him a mortal origin: a human cultivator with a trident martial soul who traveled the islands and seas, settled conflicts, aided spirit masters and sea beasts alike, and earned the faith of the waters.
