Heaven Dou Empire
The Heaven Dou Empire is one of the two great empires of the Douluo Continent in Soul Land, ruling many subsidiary kingdoms from Heaven Dou City, hosting the Seven Great Sects, and held in balance with its rival Star Luo by Spirit Hall.
One of the two great powers of the continent in Soul Land, the first series, the Heaven Dou Empire rules the northern reaches of the Douluo Continent with a web of subsidiary kingdoms beneath it. Its capital, Heaven Dou City, is among the greatest cities of the setting, and the storied Seven Great Sects make their homes within imperial territory.
Militarily the empire is counted the weaker of the two great states, and the balance between it and its southern rival, the Star Luo Empire, is maintained less by armies than by Spirit Hall, the continent-spanning authority over spirit masters, which keeps either empire from swallowing the other. That uneasy three-way equilibrium frames much of the first series' politics.
