Flender

Flender teaches in Soul Land, the first series, a middle-aged man in his fifties, tall, with a face nobody forgets: a somewhat prominent chin, very wide cheekbones, a slightly aquiline nose, and rigid square black-framed crystal glasses over eyes that give off something devious. Pride runs deep in him. He is strict with his students and cares about every one of them, considerate up to a point, selfless where love is concerned, and unashamedly fond of money, which he will chase by putting other people in embarrassing positions. His spirit transformation spreads a pair of huge wings from his back and covers his body in feathers, his pupils turning orange yellow and his feet into sharp claws. Years ago he met Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong, and the three of them formed the team known as the Golden Iron Triangle.
