Emerald Demon Bird

The Emerald Demon Bird is one of the most ruthless of the bird type soul beasts, known as a fierce bird whose growth depends on sucking the brains of living creatures. Any soul beast or human can be its target, though it is particularly fond of human brains, and wherever the birds have passed, the creatures left behind have a hole in the head and nothing inside. There are not many in the world, and human knowledge of them comes mostly from ancient records. At a hundred years it is a green bird the size of a palm with a red mouth and a fierce light in a pair of small emerald green eyes. At a hundred thousand years the green silhouette turns translucent, like a jade carving. A wind attribute beast, it moves swift as lightning and tops the entire spirit beast world for speed over short distances, specializing in attacks on the heads of other creatures.
