Crimson Realm

The Crimson Realm, or Crimson Domain, is a realm comparable to the Abyssal Plane though a stage above it, four-dimensional and near the fifth dimension. Stability is what it lacks, since it has grown by devouring other realms rather than developing as stable worlds do. The whole realm counts as one living organism, and the crimson creatures inside it are its cells: when they die the energy returns and new cells are made from it. Low-level creatures hold no wisdom and know only how to devour, while a high-level creature that returns comes back with a new consciousness rather than the one it had. There are 136 layers, each holding one or more monarchs at god level, the monarchs of the upper layers at super god level. Seen from space it announces itself as a bright red light thickening into a huge blood red vortex, an indescribable fear spreading around it.
