Ant Queen

The Ant Queen is the magic beast at the center of the hive holding Jeju Island in Solo Leveling, and the boss the Korean Hunters Association keeps failing to reach. She is enormous, plated in white chitinous armor, with pale lavender eyes, and she rules a colony of mutant ants that has occupied the island since its S-Rank Gate broke about four years before the main story. Three attempts to retake Jeju run into her brood and come apart. She is protective of her children to the point of open grief when the colony runs short of food and they are driven to cannibalism, and she is a deliberate breeder rather than a simple beast, producing soldiers to specification for whatever the hive is facing.
