The grade directly below S-Rank, covering high-tier fighters who anchor elite raid teams and lead lower-ranked hunters.
A-Rank sits one step below the top of the hunter ladder in Solo Leveling, covering fighters who are high-tier by any measure without reaching the unreadable output of an S-Rank. Hunters at this grade form the core of elite raid teams and usually lead the lower-ranked members around them, and they can take on high-difficulty dungeons that would be closed to anyone weaker. What separates them from the rank above is scale rather than skill. An S-Rank can clear alone what an A-Rank team needs numbers to survive, and A-Ranks are well aware of the size of that gap. Some of them carry abilities strong enough to let them fight at close to S-Rank level without qualifying for the grade. Guilds treat A-Ranks as prized assets and compete openly to sign them.
