Darcy

Darcy is a security guard on the night shift, a man whose working life is quiet hallways, slow hours, and the small disciplines of staying alert when nothing seems to require it. What sets him apart is that his attention never clocks out: Darcy notices details that are not his problem, asks himself questions his job description does not ask of him, and follows small oddities with the patience of a man who has nothing but time.
