Bobby

Bobby is a veteran of the silo's mines and machine floors. He is the sort of hand every crew wants and every foreman argues with: deeply experienced, physically formidable on the heavy equipment, and unmovable in his opinions about what machines can and cannot be made to do. His skepticism is not timidity. It is the accumulated judgment of a man who has run cutters, hammers, and rigs long enough to know exactly where their limits sit, and who says so out loud while everyone else is still being polite. Give him a precise, difficult job with real stakes and he delivers it; ask him to believe in a grand plan and he wants the numbers first.
