Their build is thin enough that Ephraim ti Horn likens them to a salamander, and they are often seen in a heavy cloak or thermal gear, being easily cold. In Sefi's service they show little beyond a look of boredom, which is not the same as feeling nothing: they enjoy a game of Karachi, as many Whites do, and are plainly hurt when told they are not human.
