Victra au Julii is a Gold of Mars and a lancer of House Augustus, born to a family as well known for its ruthlessness as for its powerful women. She is a Peerless Scarred, 2.1 meters tall and more heavily built than her half sister, with jagged hair, deep-set eyes, a wide mouth, and a great many scars. She wears rings and earrings of jade, seldom bothers with makeup, and dislikes the color gold, preferring green because it suits her complexion. What she is best known for is her bluntness. Raised among opportunists and liars, she is candid to a degree that unsettles her own house, capable of playing a part but unwilling to tell an outright lie, and liable to say the true thing at the worst possible moment. Her manner runs combative, and she resents being measured against the reputations of her mother and sister instead of her own deeds.
