An Obsidian past eighty who looks fifty and stands taller than any man around him, Vagnar Hefga is metal-throated and prosthetic-handed, and privately tired of violence.
Vagnar Hefga is an Obsidian, built far larger than the average of his caste and described by many who meet him as the biggest human being they have ever seen, a full head taller than Apollonius au Valii-Rath and carrying at least a hundred kilograms of solid muscle. He is past eighty but looks about fifty, age rejuvenation therapy having left the sides of his skull webbed with blue worm veins. The front third of his throat is metal, the trachea ribbed gray, and part of it is a removable device that deepens his voice to intimidate. His left forearm and hand are a prosthetic with metal fingernails sharp as daggers that slide on rails, his nose is half scarred, and his body is covered in metal plates and old scars. His hair hangs in a tail long enough to touch his ankles.
