Tinos is a hidden subterranean city on Mars, built inside an abandoned mining colony that was shut down in the fifth century PCE when the helium-3 deposits nearby ran out. It lies five hundred kilometers south of the Thermic Sea and three kilometers beneath the old mining nexus at Vengo Station, and it serves as the headquarters of the Sons of Ares. Its stalactites were carved into spiral halls to keep their structure, and they hold docks, barracks, and sensor arrays. Around them, tall residential buildings are cut into the bedrock of the cave floor, with streets so deep between them that they read more like miniature canyons. The city runs several kilometers across the floor of the cave to the far walls, where more houses have been honeycombed into the rock.
