Proctor Ceres is the Proctor of House Ceres at the Institute, a beautiful, short-haired woman who flies down to trade gossip and teasing with Fitchner, the Proctor of Mars.
On the first day of the games she drifts over a picnic laid out as bait for the students of Mars, pours wine from Apollo's vines and swaps news of the pranks the other Proctors play on one another. When Cassius flirts, she tells him to ask again once he is Scarred, and she warns him and his friend to run just before her riders charge. She ends a brawl by zapping Titus with a stunfist.
