Born to the Gamma clan at the Martian helium-3 mine of Lagalos, Lyria is a Red: blunt, stubborn, kind with children, and raised with privileges the other clans of the mine never see.
Lyria comes from a large family. Her sister Ava has a blind young son, Liam, who has always been Lyria's favorite. Her gangly brother Tiran writes little storybooks for the children, and her two oldest brothers, Aengus and Dagan, volunteer for the Free Legions. She keeps fond memories of her father leading his children into the deep mines and frightening them with ghost tales by the gas fire.
