Luna

Luna is Earth's moon and the capital of the Society, the color-coded order that rules the worlds. It is the seat of House Lune and of the Sovereign, whose government directs the affairs of every sphere from its halls. Terraformed in the years surrounding the Conquering, the moon holds a breathable sky, seas poured into its ancient craters, and green hills across a sparsely settled northern hemisphere.

Because Lunar gravity is a sixth of Earth's, its cities climb rather than sprawl. Buildings rise kilometers high, streets stack in layers, and wealth thins with every level down toward the surface. The capital city, Hyperion, sits on the shore of the Sea of Serenity, and the moon feeds itself only through imports, its land given over to towers instead of farms. Each face of Luna passes through two weeks of daylight and then two weeks of dark.
