Ganymede

Largest of all the moons in the Solar System, Ganymede orbits Jupiter as one of the four Galilean moons and appears as one of the principal worlds of the Jovian system. The real Ganymede is wider than the planet Mercury and is the only moon known to generate a magnetic field of its own.

In the Society, Ganymede is a terraformed world of oceans and forests, its blue and green face set against Jupiter and ringed by gray shipyards. It stands as the commercial heart of the Galilean moons, and the Ganymede Dockyards are known across the system, their registries counting everything from swift corvettes to warships of the largest classes.
