Eris
Eris is a dwarf planet beyond Neptune, more massive than Pluto, and among the most distant named worlds of the Solar System.
Far beyond the orbit of Neptune, the dwarf planet Eris marks one of the outermost named worlds. The real Eris is a scattered disc object identified in 2005, more massive than Pluto and attended by a single small moon, Dysnomia, on an orbit that carries it nearly a hundred times the distance from Earth to the Sun.
Eris belongs to the scattering of remote worlds past Neptune, grouped with Makemake and Haumea at the cold edge of the settled Solar System, far from the Core where the Society's power is concentrated.
