Daria, nicknamed the Harpy, is a Gold.
Daria goes by the nickname the Harpy. She passed through the Institute of Mars, the proving ground where the Society's young Golds are sorted into houses and set against one another in year-long war games.
At the Institute Daria cut a strange figure, wearing belts of scalps and holding two fellow students, Rotback and Screwface, in thrall to her peculiar devices. Reputations made in the Institute's games follow graduates into Society life, and hers is among the odder ones of her class.
