Cassius au Bellona is a Gold of Mars, a son of House Bellona, one of the planet's mightiest families, and of Tiberius au Bellona, Imperator of the Society's Sixth Fleet. He is a student of the Institute of Mars, arriving with some of the highest examination scores of his class before the Draft places him in House Mars. Tall even for his caste, with thick golden curls and an easy grin, he looks the way Golds are supposed to look, and he knows it.
Cassius is charming, quick to laugh, and quicker to make friends, with a vanity that sits lightly on genuine warmth. He is a superb swordsman from a family known for producing them, and he holds honor above nearly everything else, in the manner of a house that measures itself by glory won in service to the Society.
