Braga
Braga is an Obsidian of the Valkyrie in Dark Age, the fifth Red Rising novel, the biggest of the six warrior women who guard her young charge, Pax and open in her contempt for outsiders she distrusts.
One of six Valkyrie sworn to guard her young charge, Pax, Braga is an Obsidian, the towering warrior caste of the Society's hierarchy, and belongs to the Valkyrie, warrior women drawn from the Obsidian tribes of the pole-lands of Mars.
Braga is the biggest of the six who stand watch over Pax, and her size is matched by the bluntness of her manner. She makes no secret of her contempt for visitors she distrusts, and she is as likely to spit toward an unwelcome guest as to spare one a word. She guards her charge closely and extends no courtesy to anyone she considers unworthy of it.
