World Item

World Items are the most powerful items in YGGDRASIL in Overlord, strong enough that players call them Balance Breakers. Only two hundred exist in the whole game, each with an ability of its own, and simply holding one lifts a player's standing to the top of the rankings. Their power sits outside the ordinary rules: a World Item overrides even super tier magic and cuts through immunities that nothing else can touch. The only reliable defense against one is another World Item, since by design they cannot affect a holder who carries one unless that holder permits it. In the New World a good many of them are scattered across the continent, some in the hands of native inhabitants and the rest lying unclaimed in ruins and the remains of fallen civilizations.
