Surshana (スルシャーナ) is the God of Death among the Six Great Gods, the six figures the Slane Theocracy holds to have founded it six hundred years ago and around whom its doctrine is built. Scripture places him first among them, on the reasoning that no human escapes the scythe of death, and credits him with dominion over fear, death and disease and with the power to grant either an eternity of tranquility or an eternity of despair. In the Web Novel he is described as more or less a skeleton, a large frame draped in a jet black robe with a sparkling staff in his hand, and he is spoken of there as an evil god whose lesser subordinate deities share his character, though the Theocracy's priests hold that he does not spread vice of his own will.
