Regency Council

The Regency Council is the governing body of the Dwarf Kingdom in Overlord, and in practice the nation's highest authority. The kingdom was ruled by its royal family until two hundred years ago, when the Evil Deities attacked the ancient dwarven capital of Feo Berkana and most of the royalty died. The last survivor answered the call to arms against that threat and left to join the fight, and before he went he set the Regency Council in his place. Its eight members each head one of the vital functions of the nation, covering its culture, military, livelihood and resources, and each holds absolute authority within his own sphere, which gives any one of them considerable sway. Every decision that affects the kingdom is made there.
