Ramposa III

Ramposa III is the king of the Re-Estize Kingdom in Overlord, at least thirty-nine years into a reign spent trying to hold a fractious nation together through political infighting at home and repeated wars abroad. He is an old man now, thin to the point of frailty, his hair gone white and his limbs little more than twigs, and a bad knee taken in one of the annual wars against the Baharuth Empire leaves him needing a cane, though he insists on walking under his own power. He is humble for a king, holding that power exists to protect the people, and in a kingdom obsessed with bloodline he judges men by what they can do. He inherited a realm already in poor political health, and his attempts at reform have gone nowhere. He is past the age to abdicate and has still named no heir, caught between two sons who both want the throne.
