Noble

Noble is the general term in Overlord for a member of the upper class, and in the New World it also exists as a job class. Nobles rule their own territories and the people on them, and in a feudal nation they serve the head of the country as statesmen and advisers. A household with many servants usually keeps an official merchant, who guides the family whenever it goes to buy anything. Cloth is a matter of status: smooth, shining materials are prized for dresses, and clothes are chosen to show both the means to follow the current fashion and a classical impression of good family. Rank runs in a hierarchy of titles. In the Baharuth Empire the Emperor's blood relatives are dukes, with marquesses, earls, viscounts and barons beneath them, and a margrave ranks with a marquis, the highest a noble outside the imperial bloodline can reach.
