Mercenary Knights

The Mercenary Knights are a sisterhood of six heteromorphic women in Mass for the Dead, a side story of Overlord, led by Aggresiel. Each of them was made as a knight and each came into being separately, with no knowledge of the others. Aggresiel met Billiophia first, and between the fragments of memory they held and a book left to them, which records the deeds of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown and the admiration its author felt for them, the two worked out that they were sisters. They went looking for the rest by the descriptions in those books, and the inventor Ella was the next they found. The sisters travel between worlds through the passage they call the Corridor, taking up different roles and names wherever they arrive. Their motto is turning the unknown into the known.
