Hunter

Hunter is a term used in Overlord for a kind of adventurer who specializes in gathering information. Other adventurers tend to treat hunters as the lazy ones, with a poor survival rate in the field, and people often assume they are the sorts who take their requests from bar owners over a drink. Hunters themselves treat information as the first step in countering a monster: knowing a creature's habits lets a party prepare tactics against it, knowing when magic items can be bought strengthens a loadout, and knowing other adventurers tells an adventurer who to be wary of. At bars they trade in exactly that, from the strength of nearby monsters to the prices of magic items and rumors about their fellow adventurers.
